Sun and Moon islands Tour Copacabana from Puno:

First day.- Bus Puno – Copacabana ( Isla del Sol Overnight)

At 6:30 am. We leave the city of Puno by tourist bus that will lead us to Copacabana. The trip takes 3 hours. Upon arrival we will have free time for lunch and at 13:30 p.m. Bolivian time we head to the harbor to take our boat that will take us to the southern part of the island of the Sun for 1 hour and 30 min. On the way we can enjoy the world’s highest navigable lake.

Until reaching the island of the Sun. Place where we will visit the archaeological center of Pilkokayna built of small stones similar to the stone walls of the Incas, another rest to visit is the Temple of the Sun, the Chincana or the hidden Palace here the Incas performed ceremonies of worship to the God Inti (Sun).

From there we will take the steps of Yumani; Inca road that leads us to the fountain of youth, there you will be able to become purified taking some sacred water as it is said to be a source of eternal youth, pre-Columbian terraces and the ecological gardens. After our visit, accommodation on the island and overnigh .

Second Day.- Isla de la Luna – Bus  Copacabana – Puno o La Paz

After breakfast at 08:00 am. we started our journey to the Island of the Moon on this island platforms, climate and similar vegetation shows that the Island of the Sun, with the difference that monuments are better preserved among these are: the Palace of Yñakuyo or Temple of the Moon of semi-polished stone and roofed with flat stones superimposed on each other , protruding the upper to lower to form the vault , equal to those in the Sun island. At 12:00 pm. arrival in Copacabana , then we will make city tour visiting the Sanctuary of the Virgen Morena, the local fair in the city. and finally at 6:00 pm . We take the bus to Puno or La Paz.
