Day 1: Arequipa – Volcano Viewpoint – Hot Springs

Begin your Colca Canyon tour from Arequipa. Between 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel to depart toward the Colca Valley. we headed by asphalted road toward Yura passing through of the Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve, you will observe South American camelids as vicuñas, alpacas and llamas.

We’ll make a stop at Viscachani to enjoy a cup of coca tea, which helps with acclimatization. After, we’ll ascend to the highest point of the route, Patapampa (4,910 msnm), also known as the Volcano Viewpoint. Here, you’ll marvel at the chain of volcanoes, including Hualcahualca, Sabancaya, and Ampato.

Upon arrival in Chivay, you’ll settle into your chosen hotel and enjoy a delicious local lunch. In the afternoon, around 15:00 p.m., relax at the Hot Springs, where the healing thermal waters reach over 40°C. To end the day, you may opt for a traditional dinner and folkloric show, perfect for those staying overnight in Chivay.

Day 2: Condor’s Cross – Puno

After breakfast, we’ll pick you up from your hotel between 6:30 a.m. to 6:50 a.m. to visit the Condor’s Cross Viewpoint, where you can witness the breathtaking flight of the majestic Andean condors and admire the incredible depth of the Colca Canyon.

On the way back, you’ll explore pre-Inca agricultural terraces and other panoramic viewpoints of the Colca Valley. We’ll pass through traditional villages like Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma, and Yanque, where we’ll make short stops to admire their typical churches, artisan markets, and the traditional attire of the locals.

Back in Chivay, you’ll enjoy lunch before departing to Puno at 1:00 p.m.. You’ll arrive in Puno around 7:20 p.m., marking the end of this exciting journey.
