We enjoy a full day exploring the highest navigable lake in the world, Lake Titicaca. In this fascinating kayaking experience you will be able to contemplate the beautiful natural landscape from another perspective. In this tour you will visit the famous floating islands of the Uros in a private kayak and the natural island of Taquile in a speedboat.

Description

Kayak on Lake Titicaca Uros and Taquile:

Breakfast. We will pick you up from the hotel at 06:30 am. We go to Esteves Island where we will be our starting point, before starting the tour we will have a little safety talk and about the correct use of the kayak. Then together with a professional guide we will paddle for 1 hour from the bay to the floating islands of the Uros.

On the way you will have a spectacular view of the biodiversity of Lake Titicaca’s flora and fauna.

Then we will meet with the group, you have 1 hour and 15 minutes to share experiences with organized families who will welcome us, the tour guide will explain about the ancestral customs of the natives and the construction of their islands, if you wish you can ride on one of their reed rafts optional.

We continue the trip to Taquile for 1h and 20 min. Upon arrival, we will walk for 30 min. to the town square while enjoying nature and traditional arches. Taquile stands out for its fine Texil which was declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Their clothing shows a variety of natural colors, designs and symbolism of the Andean cosmovision. In a local restaurant we will taste a typical lunch prepared with products of the region.

At 14:00 hrs we leave the island to Puno arriving at the port at 15:50 hrs. Transfer to your hotels or near the main square. End of the service.
